"We are fifth generation barbering and we are ready to teach you everything we know."
Mark Bynum, CEO
"HARRIS HAND the name was inspired by my Grandfather Nathaniel Harris, Sr. who was the first black Master Barber in Meriwether County. My grandfather was known for his large hands and how he would place the hand on your head as he cut your hair. My grandfather was the greatest inspiration to me as he encouraged the younger boys in the family to acquire the skill set of cutting hair. Currently two of the boys are licensed Master Barbers.
HARRIS HAND Barber Shop located in Luthersville was born of a dream in 2010. God placed a desire in my heart to follow in my grandfather's footsteps. Then came HARRIS HAND II located here in Grantville, Georgia, which has now been converted to HARRIS HAND Barber College. HARRIS HAND Barber College is a further extension of a dream come true. I can only thank God for giving me the ability and knowhow to get this business started. I pray God continued blessings upon this business and the people that will take part in a life-long skill.
As God continues to work with me, and through the mentorship of the strong men God placed in my path, I know that I will be able to fulfill the mission God has placed in me. These men include of course, my Grandfather Nathaniel Harris, Uncle Bennie Frank Harris, my father Greenie J. Bynum, Mr. Curtis McGee, Mr. Paul Watson, and Mr. Palmer. These men have taught me invaluable life-long lessons and for that I am eternally grateful." Mark G. Bynum
